Ancestry Black Friday Dates and Hours
Last year, Ancestry started its Black Friday promotions on Thanksgiving Day. Deals ended on Monday after Thanksgiving Weekend. If they stick with that same schedule this year, you can expect sales to start on November 24th and end on November 28th on Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday is a separate event, so you can expect new deals on Ancestry.com that day, though the regular deals should also stay up.
In-store Black Friday Dates: November 24 – November 27
Ancestry does not have any physical stores where you can sign up for their service or buy DNA testing kits. However, you can buy AncestryDNA kits from verified retailers such as Walmart. That said, the deals retailers have for DNA testing kits may differ from those on Ancestry.com, so be sure to compare prices once the Black Friday deals are available.
Online Ancestry Black Friday: When do deals start going online?
Deals go live on Ancestry.com at midnight on Thanksgiving Day. The deals will continue on Cyber Monday, but Ancestry may release a special Cyber Monday deal for the end of their sales event. Last year, they had an AncestryDNA + Traits: Genetic Ethnicity DNA kit on sale during Cyber Monday, so check back on Monday, November 28th for new discounts.

Deals on Ancestry gift memberships will not run out because it’s a digital service, however, DNA testing kits might go out of stock during Black Friday sales. To get your DNA testing kit before they sell out, you’ll want to create an account on Ancestry.com. Creating an account will sign you up for notifications so you can get all the latest updates on discounts.
If you’re planning on also gifting a friend or family member a gift membership, leave that for later and focus on getting the DNA testing kit as soon as the deals go live.
